The motor is a 1970 340 block and was completely rebuilt. NOW a 416 ci . The dyno results were 451 HP AT 5700 rpms and 502 lbs. of torque at 4000 rpms. Diamond flat top pistons were installed and the car gained one compression point. Compression is now 11.8-1 and it runs on high octane gas only A new 850 Holley double pump carb replaced the 750 Holley HP. It runs very strong and it is a blast to drive! The car now has just over 69,700 miles and the motor has approximately 1500 miles since the pistons and carb were installed.
This car can be used as a street car, used for car shows, or going to the race track. It has 4 drag racing shocks installed and is set up for drag racing.
Body Details: After the rear frame rails were installed, the body was mounted on a rotisserie. All of the rust was sandblasted from the shell of the car in 2001. Then the floor pans, trunk pans, trunk extensions, quarter panels, and doors were installed. The welds are not perfect in the trunk area like they would be from the factory but are strong. The body is very straight and the paint is beautiful. 340 Engine is now a 416 cubic inch small block 833- 4 speed transmission, NOS Hurst shifter with pistol grip handle, Passon Performance overdrive gear set converts the 8 rear end with 4.86 sure grip to 3.91 ratio, attached to Doctor Diff axle shafts. Mancini Racing drive shaft loop surrounds the Joint Clutch and Gear custom drive shaft. Factory front and rear sway bars. Custom Weld in frame rail connectors TTI 2 1/2 X-pipe duel exhaust system from the ceramic-coated headers to exhaust tips. 3 core aluminum radiator 340 Billboards Road lamp package Dual sport mirrors Factory Tuff wheel and adapter Rallye guage cluster with working clock Power Convertible Top Power steering - Manual brakes front disc Rear drum brakes
The factory stamped numbers are on the cowl indicating it is a 1971 Barracuda (B1). The bright blue metallic (B5) paint is the original color of the Car was painted and new floors were installed Still retains the original manual transmission hump It was painted in 2006 and has been stored in the garage

The Plymouth Barracuda is a two-door car that was manufactured by Plymouth from the 1964 to 1974 model years.
The first-generation Barracuda, a fastback A-body coupe based on the Plymouth Valiant, had distinctive wraparound back glass and was available from 1964 to 1966.
The second-generation 1967 to 1969 Barracuda, though still Valiant-based, was heavily redesigned. Second-generation A-body cars were available in fastback, notchback, and convertible versions.
The third-generation 1970 to 1973 E-body Barracuda, no longer Valiant-based, was available as a coupe and a convertible, both of which were very different from the previous models. The final model year for the Barracuda was 1973. Although a prototype of the Plymouth Cuda was introduced as a concept in 1974, it was never produced. For 1966, the Barracuda received new taillamps, new front sheet metal, and a new instrument panel. The latter had room for oil pressure and tachometer gauges on models so equipped. The 1966 front sheet metal which, except for the grille, was shared with the Valiant, and gave a more rectilinear contour to the fenders. Deluxe models featured fender-top turn signal indicators with a stylized fin motif. The bumpers were larger, and the grille featured a strong grid theme. A center console was optional for the first time.
