This is a Rare and Super clean 1961 Chevrolet Impala 2-door sedan. This car needs nothing. The original numbers matching 283 C.I. V8 Engine with A Power glide automatic transmission powers it. The Impala was assembled at the Flint MI plant. Refinished in the factory paint code (915) Twilight Turquoise and the interior in factory (852) Turquoise vinyl/cloth. Both the exterior and interior in GREAT condition and show very well. Under carriage, floor and trunk are all solid; practically as clean on the bottom as she is on top. There are some minor scratches and nicks on the hood and fenders, slight surface rust in trunk jamb, and a few minor dings in the bright work All chrome is in excellent condition with no pitting. It has rebuilt (factory optioned) power steering, carburetor, brakes and dual master cylinder. Also the front suspension has been completely rebuilt including coil springs. This Impala drives and rides beautifully. Brand new color matched wheels and tires. This car is a very solid and a dependable driver. A few years ago engine was pulled to correct rear main seal leak. The motor was also painted at that time. Engine is leak free. Heater core is bypassed and would need to be replaced if you want functioning heat. Fresh air inlets work perfectly to allow outside air in the cabin.

For its debut in 1958, the Impala was distinguished from other models by its symmetrical triple taillights, which returned from 1960 to 1996. The Caprice was introduced as a top-line Impala Sport Sedan for model year 1965, later becoming a separate series positioned above the Impala in 1966, which, in turn, remained above the Bel Air and the Biscayne. The Impala continued as Chevrolet's most popular full-size model through the mid-1980s. Between 1994 and 1996, the Impala was revised as a 5.7-liter V8powered version of the Caprice Classic sedan.
