This Lincoln Continental is one of the rare CCCA Classic cars. Just 136 of these 1942 Convertibles were built in this war shortened production year. This car was taken from the production line by Edsel Ford as his personal car until his death. This car has been refurbished within the last decade, and remains a largely original car.
The 1942 version of the Continental was a re-do of the body of the '40 & '41 car to 'modernize' it with more and heaver chrome, flattening the fenders and squaring the rear of the car. The '42 is an elegant car nonetheless with its door pushes, bake-a-lite interior knobs, and the first with power windows and over-drive.
Everything is in 100 percent working condition and this car handles so well. This car is a delight to drive with the top up or down.
